Actual and potential clients and business partners
Pharm Assist handle data in order to provide the services to clients and to provide information on Pharm Assist and other industry news. The personal information may include name, company, telephone number, e-mail address, postal address, work title and division as well as billing information. The personal data processed are necessary for the performance of contracts or upon request, when in process to enter a contract or based on other legitimate interest in our company. Current, recent and potential clients and business partners may receive emails regarding news and other services provided by Pharm Assist. An option is available to quit these e-mails.
The data is stored as long as the service contracts runs and thereafter during one year.
Patients and health care professionals
Pharm Assist may process sensitive personal data related to health e.g. for participants in clinical studies and patients experiencing adverse events as described under contract with our clients. Personal data that can be transferred to the authorities (e.g. the European Pharmacovigilance Database) is the case description, patient’s initials, date of birth, age and gender. Personal data related to the reporting health care professionals are not transferred.
Security, confidentiality and protection of Data
Pharm Assist maintains a reasonable level of physical, electronic and managerial procedures in order to protect the personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. This includes maintaining computer equipment, networks, programs and documentation to a common standard. Pharm Assist limits personal data collection, storage, and usage to data that is relevant, adequate, and necessary for carrying out the purpose for which the data is processed. This includes restricting access to equipment and information to appropriate staff.
Provision of personal data to third party
Personal data may be transferred to third parties in order to perform contracted services and business operations. The third parties are trusted business partners and competent authorities such as Medical Products´ Agency. Pharm Assist do not share personal data for any other reasons.
Access to personal data
Any registered person has the right to access its own data and to get any wrongful information corrected. The registered persons can also ask us to delete their data as long as there are no legal impediments. Pharm Assist has appointed a Data Protection Officer, responsible for data protection in our company.
